Tre Cime world famous 3 peaks
Everyone has probably seen a picture of the breathtaking three peaks of Tre Cime in the Dolomites, and you've probably also heard how busy this place is. However, we know when and where to go and avoid the crowds of tourists. The most beautiful view of Tre Cime is from the left side of the circular route.
The first option is the entire circuit
If you go in the evening after 6 pm, you will miss most of the tourists. For more physically fit tourists, it will not be a big problem to go around the entire 10 kilometer circuit, go clockwise. However, this will mean for you to return to the car park late at night and some will even arrive after dark.
We definitely do not recommend this option for less fit tourists, it is not a straight path and it can take a lot of work. You will have to leave a little earlier and expect more tourists, but in the later hours it is not so bad, the biggest rush is around 10 o'clock.
Second variant
Leave a little later, but in the opposite direction, i.e. counter-clockwise. You will not go the whole circuit, but only the most beautiful part. You will see Tre Cime in full splendor and with a minimum of tourists. You can even afford to watch the sunset and the gradual shadowing of Tre Cime. Enriched with a great experience, you will get back to the parking lot in approx. 40 minutes at a leisurely pace.
You will see the most beautiful things that Tre Cime has to offer, you will experience unforgettable moments at sunset or sunrise, and this is our last tip, set off early in the morning again in an anti-clockwise direction.
If you do not follow the path as a circuit, you will not see Tre Cime from the side, this view is not completely to be thrown away, but you have already seen the most beautiful :-)
The scenery around the circuit is breathtaking, but it is not completely free, and by that we do not mean the toll if you drive to the parking lot.
I don't know if something has changed, but after 18:00 the exit is free, but you better check it. So if you are not a sprinter and you want the side and rear view of this breathtaking massif see the rear part in the photo below, you will enjoy the most beautiful of Tre Cime.
