Watchtower Kleť

Kleť (1,084 metres/3,556 ft) is the highest peak of the Blanský les nature reserve (see below). It is located 6 km from Český Krumlov. There are lots of ways to get there - by foot, bike or cable car. The hike to the top is compensated by a view of the Alps, the Lipno dam and the power plant Temelín when the sky is clear. You can also pay a visit to the observatory.
Blanský les (Blanský forrest)
Blanský les was declared a Protested Landscape Area in 1990 and it falls under the district Český Krumlov. It is a remarkable well preserved landscape unit with many precious sites located in the foothills of Šumava. The significant peaks are Kleť and Bulový.
